How can you check any article yourself?
You should not have to take our word for it. When we send a shortlist, run through this list before you approve anything.
- Search Google for the exact article address and confirm that the page comes back.
- Read the paragraph where your link would sit. It should still make sense if the link is removed.
- Browse the rest of the host site. A clear subject is a good sign, and a jumble of unrelated topics is not.
- Count the outbound links already on the page and ask whether they look paid, repeated or off topic.
- Look at traffic and history in your own SEO tool. Tools disagree, so compare two if you can.
- Open the page in a private browser window and confirm it loads for ordinary visitors.
